How to plant your seed packet

Got one of our packets? Here's everything you need to get it growing. Start with the basics, then find the packet in your hand below.

The basics, for every packet

  1. Pick the right spot. Pollinator mixes and poppies want full sun. Forget-me-nots are happy in part shade.
  2. Clear and loosen the soil. Pull grass and weeds so the seed lands on bare, loose soil.
  3. Scatter and press. Spread the seed and press it lightly into the surface. Don't bury it; many wildflowers need light to sprout.
  4. Keep it moist. Water gently until the seedlings are up, then ease off.

When to sow: in spring after your last frost, or in late fall so the seed rests through winter and sprouts in spring.
